Obituary for Loretta Louise Page

Loretta Louise Page, 86 of Garden City died Sunday, September 21, 2014 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City. She was born July 9, 1928 in Garden City the daughter of Joseph J. & Josephine L. (Ohnsat) Ohmes.
Loretta grew up in Garden City and graduated from Garden City High School in 1946. She then attended nurses training for three years at St. Catherine Hospital graduating in 1949. As a registered nurse, Loretta began working in 1949. She retired in 1992. Throughout her carrier, Loretta worked in Ulysses, El Dorado, Emporia, and Garden City. She moved to Emporia in 1953 and returned back to Garden City in 1972. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and she enjoyed gardening, reading, and playing Bingo.
In March of 1952, Loretta married Delmar Hull in Garden City. She later married Orvin L. Page on April 22, 1979 in Garden City. Survivors include three children Leslie J. & wife Debbie Hull of Garden City, Sharon K. & husband Jim Patterson of Garden City, and Sandra L. & husband Brian Greenway of Brisbane, Australia; three brothers Al Ohmes of Garden City, George Ohmes of Pierceville, Ks., and Francis Ohmes of Hutchinson, Ks.; five sisters Rosalia Hoffman of
Milwaukee, WI, Vivian Wnuczek of Shorewood, WI, Gladys Piche of Franklin WI, Ramona Kippes of Victoria, KS, and Caecilia Sarnowski of Vulcan, MI; ten grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. Loretta is preceded in death by her first husband Delmar; her second husband Orvin; a son Mark Hull; four brothers Lawrence Ohmes, Sylvester Ohmes, Joseph Ohmes, and Robert Ohmes; and a sister Virginia “Bernadine” Herbert.
A rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Garden City. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 26, 2014 also at St. Mary Catholic Church with Fr. Charles Seiwert as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Garden City. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday all at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City. The family requests memorials given to the Nursing Scholarship Fund at Garden City Community College in care of Garnand Funeral Home.
