Obituary for Jimmie Allen Richman

Jimmie Allen Richman, 45 of Garden City died Friday, October 17, 2014 at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. He was born April 23, 1969 in Garden City the son of Dewitt & Emilia (Gallegos) Richman.
Jimmie has been a lifetime resident of Garden City. He attended Garden City schools and graduated from Garden City High School in 1987. A lifetime truck driver, Jimmie first worked as a bull hauler. He then became a short load grain hauler for 212 Logistics, LLC. Jimmie loved the outdoors, enjoying fishing, hunting, 4 wheeling, golfing, and was an avid archery hunter. He was also a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan.
On July 5, 2014, he married Ashley Rich in Protection, Kansas. She survives. Other survivors include his mother Emilia Richman of Garden City; three sisters Marlene Otero of San Antonio, TX, Dora & husband Eric Leon of Garden City, and Mary “Orla” & husband John Urrutia of Killeen, TX; his Father-In-Law and Mother-In-Law Bill & Peggy Rich of Protection, KS; four nephews Frank Otero, Jr., Zachary Leon, Shelby Urrutia, & John Urrutia; three nieces Deanna Otero, Jessica Goodman, & Brianna Otero; a great nephew Amari Goodman; and two great nieces Nadia Perez and Alexa Goodman. Jimmie is preceded in death by his father Dewitt Richman.
A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2014 at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 25 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Garden City with Fr. Charles Seiwert as Celebrant. Graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Protection Cemetery in Protection, Kansas with Rev. Randy Caddell officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday all at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City. The family requests memorials given to the Jimmie Richman Medical Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home.
