Obituary for Davey Jones

Davey Jones, 58 died Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at BSA Hospital in Amarillo, Texas. He was born June 1, 1956 in Lubbock, Texas the son of Tom Watson & Levell (Green) Jones.
Davey grew up in Roswell, New Mexico. He attended school in Roswell and Dexter, NM. He enlisted and served in the United States Army from July 3, 1974 to October 8, 1975 when he was granted a medical discharge. Davey worked for a number of years as an over the road truck driver. He then moved back to Roswell, NM. Davey eventually moved to Garden City and later to Canyon, Texas. While living in Canyon, Davey attended the Church of Christ. He enjoyed all aspects of technology and loved to spend his time on the computer.
Survivors include his mother Levell Sanchez of Garden City; four sisters Wanda Knight of Canyon, Tx., Pamela Enns of Garden City, Brenda Schulz of Garden City, and Debbie Reyes of Garden City; and 17 nieces and nephews. Davey is preceded in death by his father; a brother LeeRoy “Cherokee” Cada; and a nephew Dario Sanchez.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2015 at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City with Pastor Rafael Franco officiating. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Garden City area veterans, and the Kansas Reserve Army National Guard. Friends may call from Noon to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, Noon to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, and from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday all at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City. The family requests memorials given to Wounded Warriors in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City.
