Obituary for Michael R. "Mike" Stegman
Michael R. “Mike” Stegman, 62 died Friday, July 17, 2015 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. He was born July 13, 1953 in Ashland, Kansas the son of Michael & Leona (Schreibvogel) Stegman.
Mike moved with his family to Garden City when he was a child. He graduated from Garden City High School. Mike has worked in the livestock business for he entire life and has worked for Brookover Feed Yard in Garden City for 28 years.
On April 2, 1975 he married Cheryl Engle in Garden City. She survives. Other survivors include two sons Chris & wife Lauri Stegman of Cleveland, Ohio and Ben Stegman of Garden City; and a sister Virginia Hahn of Garden City. Mike is preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City. A private family interment will take place at a later date. There will be no calling hours. The family requests memorials given to the Mike Stegman Memorial Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home.
