Obituary for Charles J. Daoust

Charles J. Daoust, 69 died Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City. He was born August 12, 1945 in Brooklyn, New York the son of Charles & Florence (Augustine) Daoust.
Charles grew up in the state of New York. He lived in various places throughout has lived in Lakin, Kansas for the past couple of years. A boat builder, Charles was the owner and operator of Four Seasons Fiberglass. He enjoyed fishing, and building boats.
On October 25, 1964 he married JoAnn Schwizer in Lindenhurst, New York. She died on September 25, 2009. Charles is also preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Sandra Daoust. Survivors include eight children Elaine Daoust of Lakin, Ks., Joann Perrino of Weekiwache, Fl., Charles C. Daoust of Lakin, Ks., Karen McDonald of Cairo, NY, Curtis Daoust of Masaryktown, Fl., Julie Trevino of Alice, Tx., Emile Daoust of Cairo, NY, and Daniel Daoust of New Hampshire; a brother Clifford Daoust of Brentwood, NY; two sisters Carol Clark of Summit, NY and Claire Sperbeck of Summit, NY; 25 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
A private family service will take place at a later date. There will be no calling hours. The family requests memorials given to the Charles J. Daoust Memorial Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Lakin, Kansas.
