Obituary for Marvin Dale Cronin Jr.

Marvin Dale Cronin, Jr., 68 died Monday, September 21, 2015 at his home in Pierceville, Kansas. He was born January 25, 1947 in Garden City, Kansas the son of Marvin Dale “Jack” & Joan (Snodgrass) Cronin, Sr.
Marvin lived most of his life in Pierceville, Kansas and graduated from Pierceville High School in 1965. On July 18, 1970, he married Kaye Ribbing in Garden City. A lifetime farmer, Marvin also worked for 18 years at the KSU Experiment Station. He was a member of the Pierceville Federated Church and he enjoyed visiting with people, hunting, driving, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include two sons Matthew Dale Cronin of Louisburg, Ks. and Mark Duane & wife Missi Cronin of Lakin, Ks.; a sister Norma & husband Roy Brainard of Garden City, Ks.; two grandchildren Amber Cronin and Lainey Cronin both of Lakin, Ks.; a niece Monica & husband Bruce Koehn of Garden City, Ks.; two great nephews Braeden Koehn and Bryce Koehn both of Garden City, Ks.; and a great niece Madison Koehn of Garden City, Ks. Marvin is preceded in dath by his parents.
A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2015 at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City with Rev. Randy Caddell officiating. There will be no calling hours. The family requests memorials given to the Marvin D. Cronin, Jr. Memorial Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City.
