Obituary for Edward "Bud" Deaver

Edward “Bud” Deaver, 77 died Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at his home in Garden City. He was born April 4, 1938 in Russell Springs, Kansas the son of Eugene & Ruth (Everely) Deaver.
Bud moved with his family to Garden City when he was a child. He attended Garden City schools and graduated from Garden City High School in 1956. Bud then served in the United States Marine Corp from 1958 to 1960. In the late 1960’s, Bud moved to Mendota, Illinois. He lived there until 2010 when he returned to Garden City. While living in Illinois, Bud worked as a restaurant owner and manager of Bull Head’s Inn in Lostant, Illinois. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Survivors include a son Kevin Deaver of Ingalls, Kansas; a daughter Shelley Dwyre of Cimarron, Kansas; two brothers Victor Deaver and Charles Laskey both of Garden City, Kansas; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Edward is preceded in death by his father Eugene; his mother Ruth; his second mother Betty; a son Ed; and a sister Estie Hodgkinson.
A private family service will take place at a later date. There will be no calling hours. The family requests memorials given to the American Heart Association in care of Garnand Funeral Home.
