Lloyd grew up in Norton County and graduated from Logan High School. He moved to Garden City in 1950 to attend Garden City Community College. He worked at Five Points Motor Company until he was drafted into the U.S. Army, serving from 1958 through 1963. In 1963 he opened Garrison Auto Service, at first working out of the home garage until he moved to the current location on Kathryn Drive in 1966. He enjoyed working on old cars. He was preceded in death by his Parents & Wife.
