Marriage: to Betty Jean Black on July 19, 1941 at Cimarron

Memberships: First United Methodist Church in Garden City
V.F.W. of Cimarron

Harold graduated from Ingalls High School. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was stationed in the European Theater. After his discharge he returned to the family homestead farm in Gray County. He later became the Manager of the Ingalls Co-op. In 1987 he moved to Garden City and was the Grain Marketer for Southwest Corn. He was preceded in death by his Parents- Harold & Alverna Byer, Sr., 1 Daughter- Judith Deanne Byer & 1 Sister- Madeline Addison.
