Sidney served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II. He was stationed with the 601st Air Engineer Squadron in Hokkaido, Japan. In 1961 he earned his Mechanical Engineer Degree from LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas and moved to Garden City. From 1964 to 1993 he was the Owner-Operator of Bocats in Garden City manufacturing live floor trailers, manure spreaders and other agriculture equipment. Sidney was very involved in his church and served in many positions. He especially was involved in church missionary work and had traveled to 28 different countries on missions. He also enjoyed restoring antique tractors and his Grandchildren’s activities. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, Son-In-Law Mark Lucas & 3 Sisters- Ethelyn Pepple, Margaret Mickelson & Myrl Doerr.
