Jim graduated from Winona High School and entered the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. After his discharge he worked for the railroad and the City Of Oakley. He moved to Garden City and was the Foreman at the Waste Water Treatment Plant for the City Of Garden City for 27 years. He was a “chocaholic” and coffee drinker and was known for his odd sense of humor. He enjoyed Kansas Basketball, Car Shows & watching history shows. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Daughter- Renee Dawson, Son- Christopher Dawson, Brother- Ramon Knox & 2 Brothers-In-Law- Allan Rains & Bill Feldt
