Marriage: to La Rue Allison on October 5, 1952 at Cimarron



Dick grew up in Wright, Dodge City & Cimarron and graduated from Cimarron High School. After graduating High School he moved to Leoti to farm with his Uncle. In 1963 he purchased his farm in Northern Kearny County and was a life long farmer-stockman. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Deerfield. He served 8 years on the Deerfield School Board and was active in the Deerfield Brotherhood. He enjoyed woodworking. Dick was preceded in death by his Parents, Brother- Andy Horton, Sister- Mary Lee Quijada & Grandson- Nick Horton.
