Obituary for Freddie E. Niblock

Freddie E. Niblock, 67, died Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City. He was born February 24, 1949 in Garden City the son of James S. & Katherine (Kiner) Niblock.
Freddie has lived most of his life in Garden City. He attended Garden City schools and graduated from Garden City High School in 1967. He then attended Garden City Community College. He worked most of his life as a truck driver. He worked for Smith Sand Co., Huber Sand Co., Price Truckline; and for his father at JSN Trucking. Freddie also worked for several years farming for Forrest Cox. He was a member of the English Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Freddie enjoyed fishing, handyman work with his father, watching TV, and reading his Bible.
On August 22, 1997, he married Cheryl Townsend in Garden City. She died on May 1, 2016. Freddie is also preceded in death by his mother and a sister Linda Kay Niblock.
Survivors include his father James S. Niblock of Garden City and a sister Barbara Kuhn of Holcomb, Kansas.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Garden City. A private family interment will take place at a later date. There will be no calling hours. The family request memorials given to the Freddie Niblock Memorial Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City.
