Esther grew up and graduated from high school in Tacoma, Washington. She attended Garden City Community College and worked at the Garden City Area Chamber of Commerce. She moved to Denver and worked at United Airlines for 8 years as a Secretary and Stewardess. After her marriage she moved back to Southeast Finney County and farmed with her husband. She was a member of the Pierceville Federated Church and for 35 years served as the Church Secretary and made the Church Bulletins. Esther was known for always being willing to help others and be involved with the area children.
