Obituary for James Bryant Farnham

James Bryant Farnham, age 28, of Johnson, Kansas died Tuesday, March 28, 2017, in Stevens County, Kansas. He was born September 25, 1988, in Scott City, Kansas the son of Daniel and Janet (Bruner) Farnham.

James grew up in Dighton, Kansas, Pine Bluffs, Nebraska and Johnson, Kansas. James was a long time employee at Syracuse Sales Commission Co. at Syracuse, Kansas. He was a devoted father and enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. He was always learning. He was a skilled carpenter and all around handy man. He also had a great passion for cooking and enjoyed experimenting and preparing meals for his family and friends.

He is survived by two sons, Trevor James Farnham and Matthew Lee Farnham both of Syracuse, Kansas; one daughter Olivia Kay Farnham of Johnson, Kansas; his parents; Dan and Karen Farnham of Grant, Nebraska and Janet and Rick Tobin of Manter, Kansas; grandparents, Karen Farnham of Casper, Wyoming, Helen Bruner of Forgan, Oklahoma. Siblings; Nataleigh Nieto of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Brett Tobin of Manter, Kansas, Cassie Campbell of Wichita, Kansas, Travis Tobin of Johnson, Kansas, Brian Davis of Claremore, Oklahoma, Jay Martinez of Garden City, Kansas, Cassandra Minjarez of Manter, Kansas, Amanda Davis of Nebraska, Heather Josjor of Wichita, Kansas, Christina Mayes of Kansas City, Missouri, Nicole Bruner of Great Bend, Kansas, and Katy Tobin of Manter, Kansas and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

James was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Leo Bruner and James Farnham; sister, April Dawn Farnham; and cousin, Matthew Stoner.

Memorial service will be Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at 2:00 pm (MT) at the First Christian Church in Syracuse, Kansas with Pastor Tom Reynolds officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Syracuse Cemetery. Family suggests memorials be given to the Stanton County High School or Syracuse High School for a Wood Shop Scholarship in care of Garnand Funeral Home, PO Box 715, Johnson, Kansas 67855.
