Parents: Ruperto & Paola (Corona) Martinez
Marriage: To Adela Palomarez on December 20, 1959 at Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico. She survivies

Mr. Martinez was born in Mexico, he met and married Adela at the age of 29. They started a family and settled in Texas where he farmed seven days a week. They moved to Holcomb and made it their permanent home in 1981. He was a good provider and instilled the same work ethic in his children. He worked for USD 363 for 15 years. His faith in God’s plan gave him the strength to support his family both emotionally and financially. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where he made sure his children and grandchildren not only received the sacraments but lived out the principles set forth in them. He was very active in The Cursillo movement, Perpetual Adoration, Marriage Preparation, and was a Eucharistic Minister through St. Mary’s.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Marcelino, Antonio, Jose, Ventura, Pascuala & Maria Dolores Martinez
