Connie graduated from Leoti High School in 1961. She received her Nursing Training at Dodge City to get her LPN certificate. After completing her nursing education she moved to Garden City and worked in Dr. Maxfield’s Medical Practice. After her marriage she assisted her husband in the operation of their farm in Finney County. She enjoyed working on pen and ink drawings, glass paintings, oil painting, cooking, collecting cook books and being a caretaker for others.
