Obituary for Wilma L. Anderson

Wilma L. Anderson, age 83, of Ulysses, Kansas, died Monday, May 22, 2017 at The Legacy at Park View in Ulysses, Kansas. She was born August 3, 1933 in Willow Springs, Missouri the daughter of Clarence and Ada (Thompson) Dunaway.

Wilma grew up and graduated high school in Willow Springs, Missouri. She and her husband moved to Ulysses, Kansas in 1952. She was an interior decorator for Phillips Furniture Store. She enjoyed playing bridge and watching her grandkids ballgames.

Wilma married Jim Anderson on January 22, 1952 at Willow Springs, Missouri. He survives.

Other survivors include one son; Mike Anderson and wife Pam of Ulysses, Kansas, two sisters; Ruby Tetrick of Willow Springs, Missouri and Ginney Mace of Springfield, Missouri, one sister-in-law; Betty Dunaway of Willow Springs, Missouri and three grandchildren; Kelsey Donaldson, Tannis Anderson and Stacy Cook.

Wilma is preceded in death by her parents; one brother; Sid Dunaway and one sister : Faye Davis.

Funeral service will be held Saturday May 27, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Shelton Memorial Christian Church, Ulysses, Kansas with Pastor Bob Le Vene officiating. Burial will follow at Ulysses Cemetery, Ulysses, Kansas. Visitation will be Friday, May 26, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home, Ulysses, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Lung Association or the Ulysses Masonic Lodge #435 both in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant, Ulysses, Kansas 67880.
