Obituary for Beth Ladner
Beth Ladner, age 84, of Ulysses, Kansas died Friday, June 9, 2017, at The Legacy at Park View in Ulysses, Kansas. She was born February 28, 1933, in Clearfield, Utah, the daughter of William and LaVon (Hamblin) VanZyl.
Beth grew up in Utah and graduated high school in Clearfield. She worked at the Hill Air Force Base where she met LeRoy G. Ladner. They were married on January 15, 1955 in Clearfield, Utah. Beth and LeRoy moved to Ulysses in 1972. Her whole life revolved around her church. She spent many hours devoted to church activities.
She is survived by her husband LeRoy of Ulysses; sons, Dale Ladner and wife Amy of Kansas City, Missouri, Robert Ladner and former-wife Cindy of Lenexa, Kansas; daughter, Vicki Ladner of Hutchinson, Kansas; four grandchildren, Ben, Spencer, Nate and Sara.
Beth is preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at 10:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Ulysses with Bishop Carl Egley officiating. Interment will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM with family present from 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home. Arrangements are in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave, Ulysses, KS 67880.
