Billie grew up in Eastern Kansas. She moved to Garden City and after her children were older she went to Nursing School and worked as a Nurse at St Catherine Hospital and Garden Valley Retirement Village. After her husband died she moved to Lakin and then to Dighton. She was a member of the Assembly Of God Church and was attending the United Methodist Church in Dighton. She enjoyed her crossword puzzles and reading, especially the daily newspaper. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Son- Lee Newberry, 2 Brothers- Clifford Cunningham, Jr. & Roy Cunningham, 2 Sisters- Rita Searles & June Cooley & 1 Granddaughter.
