Eugene was born and raised in Garden City. He graduated from Garden City High School in 1990 and attended Garden City Community College, Colby Community College and University Technical Institute in Phoenix, Arizona . Later he lived in Salina and Dewey, Oklahoma. He had been employed at Wal-Mart, Goodwill & Southard Home Improvement. Most recently he was a truck driver for different companies. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and swimming. He was a very talented pool player, joined the Garden City 8 Ball Pool League and competed in numerous tournaments.
