Lupe was born in Hutto, TX and moved to Garden City with her mother as an infant. As a child, she lived in California. After her mother Juana passed at the age of 12 , she moved back to Garden City and was raised by her Grandmother, Emilia Bribiesca. Lupe raised their family of 7 while her husband was working for the Santa Fe Railroad. After all their children were in school, she worked for St. Catherine Hospital 2-3 years and USD 457 for 13 Years as a cook. She enjoyed sewing, walking and spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, & great-great grandchildren. She will be missed by her family and friends!

She was preceded in death by her husband Larry Hernandez, Parents- Sotereo & Juana Morales; Son-Mario Hernandez; Sister-Dolores Gaona & Brother-Rosario Morales
