Garden City- Jimmy Lee Stephenson, 68, died on Monday, August 7, 2017 at his home in Garden City. He was born on September 21, 1948 at Shidler, Oklahoma the son of James Arthur & Betty Lee (Sloan) Stephenson.

He graduated from Shidler High School in 1966 and then attended Oklahoma Christian College in Oklahoma City. He was a longtime area resident living in Cimarron before moving to Garden City and working for Weber Refrigeration Heating & Air Conditioning for 10 years. Since 1998 he has been the Office Manager of J & D Farms.

Jimmy enjoyed being involved with the Christian Cowboys Group and playing the drums in the country band, Born In The Barn. He was a season ticket holder and avid fan of the Oklahoma Sooner football team.

Memorial Service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City with Pastor Ron Niday and Larry Bilberry officiating. Memorials are suggested to Cal Farley Boys Ranch in care of Garnand Funeral Home. Condolences may be posted at www.garnandfuneralhomes.com.
