Obituary for Carl C. Myers

Carl C. Myers, 57, died Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at his home in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born April 19, 1960 in Burien, Washington the son of James C. & Brenda A. (Zachary) Myers.
Carl moved with his family to Indiana as a young child. They later moved to Hatteras, North Carolina and in 1971 moved to Garden City. Since 2003, Carl has lived in both Garden City and Phoenix, Arizona. He has been in the furniture business since 1979 and was owner and operator of Carl’s Furniture in Garden City.
Survivors include his mother Brenda A. Myers of Holcomb, KS; a sister Cindy A. Crain of Holcomb; and 3 nephews Matt Hill of Hays, KS, Bradley Hill of Holcomb, KS, and Steven Crain of Holcomb, KS. Carl is preceded in death by his father.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 21, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Holcomb with Pastor Jon Sanders officiating. The family request casual attire for those attending the memorial service. A private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials given to the Stephen Crain Education fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City.
