Obituary for Daisy Lillian Scheer

Daisy Lillian Scheer, 93, of Garden City, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017 in Kearny County Hospital, Lakin, Kansas.
Daisy Scheer was born September 30, 1923 in Finney County, the daughter of Julia and John Dotts.
Daisy L. Scheer Married Paul C. Scheer on June 20, 1943 in the Assembly of God Church, Garden City.
A lifelong resident of Garden City, Mrs. Scheer devoted her life to her family and her church. She was a Sunday school teacher and a faithful member of the Assembly of God Church in Garden City.
Daisy and her twin sisters sang together as a trio for many years for church services, weddings, and funerals. In the 1940’s and 1950’s the Dotts Trio had a live radio show on Saturday mornings, taking requests and singing gospel favorites.
After her children were grown, Daisy Scheer served as Kansas Executive Director for the Wheat Plains chapter of The March of Dimes.
Survivors include one brother: Floyd Dotts, Montezuma; three daughters: Judy Scheer Ginther, Bethlehem, PA, Paula Scheer Baker, Garden City, Mary Lou Scheer White, Marienthal; two sons: Rod P. Scheer, Colorado Springs, Co, Randy P. Scheer , Springfield, MO; thirteen grandchildren: Jason Reed, Jennifer Reed Ceneviva, William Baker, Christopher Baker, Melissa Baker Gallegos, Tiffany White Wilbur, Aubrey White Yost, Kieffer White, Hayley Scheer, Andrew Scheer, Tyler Scheer, Ryan Scheer, Collin Scheer: nineteen great-grandchildren.
Daisy was preceeded in death by her husband Paul Scheer, her parents, two sisters (Iva Hitchcock and Ida Laughlin), three brothers (Ronald Dotts, Leonard Dotts, Donald Dotts), and she is now with them again in Heaven.
Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M., Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the Assembly of God Church, with Rev Nathan Sheridan officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Garnand Funeral Home on Friday from 2 PM to 8 PM. The family will be present at the funeral home from 6 PM to 8 PM to visit with friends.
Condolences may be given to The March of Dimes in care of Garnand Funeral Home, Garden City.
