Kenneth D. Robinson, 63, died Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. He was born April 22, 1954 in Ft. Scott, Kansas the son of Leroy & Margaret (Fitzgerald) Robinson.
Kenneth moved with his family to Garden City when he was a child. He has lived in Garden City since. He attended Garden City schools and graduated from Garden City High School in 1972. He then attended and graduated from Garden City Community College in 1974. A lifetime farmer, Kenneth enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, camping, boating, antiques, his work in farming, and spending time with his grandchildren.
On August 27, 1977, Kenneth married Debra M. Dechant in Garden City. She survives. Other survivors include two children Brandon (Kasey) Robinson of Garden City and Amy (Dayne) Albright of Ft. Worth, TX; his parents Leroy and Margaret Robinson of Garden City; 4 brothers Fred (Glenda) Robinson of Colorado Springs, CO, Ralph (Rosetta) Robinson of Garden City, KS, Glen (Kristine) Robinson of Colorado Springs, CO, and Delmer (Jackie) Robinson of Holcomb, KS; 3 sisters Marj (Bill) Westfahl of Hutchinson, KS, Jean (Logan) Burns of Peculiar, MO, and Grace Ebaugh of Oklahoma City, OK; 4 grandchildren Brayden Robinson, Ava Albright, Kasen Robinson, & Baileigh Albright. Kenneth is preceded in death by a grandson Parker Robinson.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church in Garden City with Rev. Joel Plisek officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday and from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday all at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City. The family suggests memorials given to the Kenneth Robinson Memorial Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City.
