Garden City- Shirley Ann Fenner, 84, died on Monday, August 28, 2017 at Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City. She was born on July 14, 1933 at Denver, Colorado the daughter of Leroy & Esther (Eitel) Kanka. She married Burch “Ed” Fenner on January 21, 1955 at Dayton, Ohio. He died on February 14, 1999.
Shirley grew up in Denver and moved to Ohio after her marriage. She later moved back to Colorado Springs and Lakewood where she worked at Hugh M. Woods Company. In 1973 they moved to Garden City where she worked various part time jobs to stay involved in the community. After her husband developed health problems she became the family care taker. She enjoyed playing golf in her earlier years and then playing cards, crocheting, quilting and especially being involved with her Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
She is survived by her Daughter-Lori Cornelius of Garden City, her son- John Fenner of Garden City, 4 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, 2 infant twin sons and 2 Brothers.
