Obituary for Johan Wolf
Johan Wolf, age 61, of Ulysses, Kansas, died Saturday, September 2, 2017, at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses, Kansas. He was born November 19, 1955, in Mexico, the son of Isaac and Maria (Wiebe) Wolf.
John grew up in Campo 86, Mexico. He married Helena Peters on March 19, 1978, in Mexico. They moved to Kismet, Kansas in 1981 and to Ulysses in 1982. He was a highly skilled mechanic and electrician. John was a volunteer and mentor for the Industrial Arts Club at the Ulysses High School. He helped the kids build their electric cars and attended the races with them. John worked as a mechanic in Ulysses for years. He then owned his own business, A&E Auto Repair. The last few years, John was a massage therapist. He attended New Life Church.
He is survived by his wife, Helena of the home; sons, Frank Wolf and wife Erin of Woodland Park, Colorado, and Richard Wolf of Ulysses; daughter, Norma Wolf of Ulysses; brothers, Isaac, Henry, Frank, Jacob, Abe, and Peter; sisters, Helen, Maria, Anna, Sara, Margaret, Susie, Eva, Tina, and Lisa; and four grandchildren, Carlos, Christan, Noah, and Emily.
John is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Anna Velasquez; and granddaughter, Alicia Velasquez.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at 2:00 PM at New Life Church in Ulysses with Ted Goertzen officiating. Interment will follow at Ulysses Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday, September 4, 2017, from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses.
