Condolences

Condolence From: Michelle
Condolence: I'm so sorry for your loss, and send my condolences. This is one of the hardest times in a family's life, always know that others care. Most important God cares. He has promised a time when he will "swallow up death forever and he will wipe the tears from all faces." (Isaiah 25:8) Praying for your family, and praying you will find comfort in this promise.

Condolence: Alice, I just saw in the paper about the loss of Jonathan. My heart goes out to you and the entire family. I don't think I've ever known someone with a kinder or more gentle spirit than Jonathan. The two of you have always had a special place in my heart. My thoughts and prayers will be with you in the upcoming days and months. May God grant you peace and comfort. Love to you dear friend.

Condolence: Jonathan was a wonderful person as generous and unselfish as they come. He will be missed, but often thought of. Please accept this little condolence:

Another Consolation

We tell ourselves many things, when one dies to ease the pain:
We know their suff’ring is gone, we don’t wish it back again;
We know they are with God, and we will join them some day;
But death is still a parting, and it still hurts anyway.

But there’s another blessing, which in death I do believe,
And thus some consolation, if this blessing we perceive.
So bear with me a moment, as this blessing I explain,
I hope it brings some comfort, and will ease a little pain.

For that great separation, that suddenly we do feel;
There is some misconception, and it is not all that real.
For a tie does still exist, and I think it always does;
A blessing to the departed, and some comfort for us.

‘Tis a difficult concept, so let me start this way,
We know God feels through us all we feel, do and say;
And while in the World, there is lots of pain and grief,
It is far outweighed by Love, Joy, Praise and Belief.

Like me, I know you’ve listened to a good, wonderful choir,
Adults, youth or congregation, all of them can inspire;
The power of their praise can become so overwhelming,
In God’s heart you can feel it receives a warm welcoming.

A single solo, act of kindness, or simple, humble prayer,
You know God receives them and feels our each and every care;
Because He knows what’s in our hearts, our thoughts He can perceive,
Glory, Praise and Love as blessings He freely does receive.

We also know when we die, He’ll give us understanding,
Like Him, these feelings we’ll be more capable of handling;
To sort out fears and angers that a moment might bring,
To feel the Love and Glory that a heart does truly sing.

Thus, there is another blessing that comes when we do die,
Not only all our struggles and pain lifted from you and I,
Also our concerns quieted by the knowledge He imparts,
But also a shower of blessings from our loved ones’ hearts.

For each time we remember, and think of someone who’s died,
A rush of warm wonderful feelings to them is supplied;
They bask in the Love of God, already so very blessed,
And still remain connected by love with us who are left.

There was a line in a movie, it’s old but I think true,
“You know, the love you have, you get to take along with you!”
One of the first and greatest things we learn is “God is Love,”
And our loves are enhanced not lost when we join Him above.

With death comes some sorrow, there’s no shame in shedding a tear,
But take comfort in this thought, your loved one is still so near;
In your heart let your feelings flow, for indeed they’re still real,
Blessings they’ll be to your loved one, and some comfort you’ll feel.

While hard to put into words, this is just a simple thought,
And its very consistent with all I’ve learned or been taught;
Love is the essence of God, and of all we do and say,
And thanks to Him, death cannot ever make it go away.
