Obituary for Nodine L. Hanna

Nodine L.  Hanna
Dighton- Nodine L. Hanna, 80, died on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Scott County Hospital in Scott City. She was born on December 23, 1936 at Shenandoah, Iowa the daughter of Robert S. & Hazel Louise (Bartelt) Anderson. She married James L. Sanborn on April 20, 1957 at Owatonna, Minnesota. She later married Clyde L. Hanna on January 8, 1977 at Montevideo, Minnesota. He died on May 29, 2008.

Nodine lived with her Parents in Haiti as a young child and then moved to Wanamingo, Minnesota where she graduated High School. While in school she was a Clarinet player and a member of the Minnesota All State Band. After her schooling the worked at NSP Electric Co-Op and was the Produce Manager at a grocery store. In 1980 she and her second husband moved to Dighton.

She was a member of the First Christian Church of Dighton and the TOPS Club. She enjoyed reading, watching HGTV, cross stitching, attending her families sporting events and especially taking care of her dogs.

She is survived by her 3 Children- Bill & Andrea Sanborn of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, Maria & Billy Dandurand of Healy & Dan & Geri Sanborn of Montevideo, Minnesota, 4 Step-Children- Nancy & Dave Norby of Healy, Linda & Dave Roberts of Bismark, North Dakota, Alan & Perla Hanna of Dighton & Curt Hanna of Dighton, 21 Grandchildren and 21 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Parents and an Infant Brother.

Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM Thursday at the First Christian Church in Dighton with the Rev Aerii Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Healy Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association or American Cancer Society in care of Boomhower Funeral Home. Friends may call from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday and 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM Thursday at Boomhower Funeral Home in Dighton. Condolences may be posted at www.garnandfuneralhomes.com
