Obituary for Mary Ann Binns

Name:  Mary Ann Binns
     Mary Ann Binns, 86, of Garden City, Kansas died Saturday November 18, 2017 at her home in Garden City, Kansas.  She was born July 26, 1931 in Lakeview, South Dakota the daughter of Albert & Clara (Ratigan) Brau.
     Mary Ann attended Jesuit Mission School in Lakeview, South Dakota.  She married Jack Binns in 1949 in Scott City, Kansas.  He died on December 5, 1980. She and Jack raised their family in Mandan, North Dakota, before moving permanently back to Kansas in 1968. 
     She was a hard worker and had been a business owner.  An active volunteer in community activities, she was a member of the Eagles, VFW, and The Finney County Senior Center. She enjoyed cards and she enoyed winning. Other hobbies included embroidery, dancing, traveling the world, and spending time with her family.  No sacrifice was to great, because she didn’t see them as sacrifices.  She saw them as acts of love.  Her radiant smile, sense of humor and fun-loving spirit will not be forgotten by all those she loved.
                  Survivors include her children, Tonda Tabor (Bob Ramos) of Garden City, Larry Binns of Garden City, Darrell Binns of Garden City, and Jack (Brenda) Binns of Afton Oklahoma, a brother LaVern Brau of Garden City, a sister, Sister Annrené “Marline” Brau of Independence, Kansas, 20 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Robert Binns, grandson Bobby Binns, & 9 brothers and 2 sisters.
              Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday November 22, 2017 at Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City with Father Charles Seiwert as celebrant,   Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery.  There will be no calling hours. Family request memorials given to the Garden City VFW Post #2270 in care of Garnand funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.  Condolences may be posted at garnandfuneralhomes.com
