Obituary for Mitchell L. Edmundson
Dighton- Mitchell L. Edmundson, 68, died on Friday, November 24, 2017 at Kearny County Hospital in Lakin. He was born on January 20, 1949 at Garden City the son of Jack & Joyce (Whiting) Edmundson.
Mitchell was a 1967 graduate of Dighton High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Viet Nam War. After his discharge he returned to Dighton and worked at Smith’s Frozen Foods and then be came a self employed house painter for over 30 years. He moved to Lakin in 2016. He enjoyed fishing, camping, riding motorcycles and his time with friends.
He is survived by a Daughter- Heather Ramsey of Manassas, Virginia, Sister- Mary Jo & Scotty Wilkison of Lakin and Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Brother- Larry J. Edmundson & Sister- Jacque Marsh.
Graveside Service will be at 2:00 PM Monday at Dighton Memorial Cemetery. Military honors will be by Dighton American Legion Post # 190. Calling hours are from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM Monday at Boomhower Funeral Home in Dighton. Memorials are suggested to the Mitchell Edmundson Memorial Fund in care of Boomhower Funeral Home.
