June Heyen, age 96, of Johnson, Kansas, died Sunday, December 17, 2017, at Stanton County Long Term Care Unit in Johnson. She was born February 16, 1921, in Hinton, Oklahoma, the daughter of Raymond and Lenora Tindall.

June grew up in Hutchinson and graduated from Hutchinson High School. After high school, she was an airline stewardess. She then moved to Washington and worked for the federal government. June married Madean Heyen in Fort Worth, Texas, on November 28, 1959. After moving to Kansas, she and Madean farmed south of Manter. June enjoyed flowers and gardening.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

June is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings.

A family graveside service will be at the Stafford Cemetery in Stafford, Kansas. Friends may call from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, December 22, 2017, at Garnand Funeral Home in Johnson.
