Obituary for Celia Noreen Rowe

Dighton- Celia Noreen Rowe, 77, died on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Lane County Hospital in Dighton. She was born on February 3, 1941 at Salina. She was the daughter of Edwin Emil & Beulah Lula (Staley) Foos. She married Rowland C. “Ronnie” Rowe on August 14, 1960 at Dighton. He died on November 14, 1995.

Noreen was a 1959 graduated of Dighton High School and went to Cosmetology school in Kansas City. She worked many years at the Green Bonnet and later Cameo in Dighton as a Hair Dresser. She later worked in the Lab at Lane County Hospital and for the American Red Cross. She then went to Truck Driving school in Wichita. She left Dighton in 2002 and lived in Pratt, Penrose, Colorado, Hartsel, Colorado and Elephant Butte, New Mexico. She returned to Dighton in 2015. She enjoyed being outside, doing yard work, gardening, camping, hiking, skiing, traveling and in her younger years playing slow pitch softball. She also enjoyed collecting crystal bells.

She is survived by her Son- Troy & Nicci Rowe of Dighton, Daughter- Annettee Reynolds of Taos, New Mexico, Brother- Larry Foos of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, 6 Grandchildren & 6 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Parents and Husband.

Graveside Service will be at 2:00 PM Monday at Dighton Memorial Cemetery with Rev Berniece Ludlum officiating. Calling Hours will be from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM Monday at Boomhower Funeral Home.
