He served on the Johnson CO-OP Board, school board, soil conservation board, FHA board, and the Johnson State Bank board. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, having served on numerous committees. He was also a member of Rotary and the Kum Double Klub.

He is survived by his son, Steve and wife Kathleen of Johnson; daughter, Shelley Rosario and husband Pete of Manhattan; brother, Richard Arnold of Johnson; twin sister, Pearl Hershberger of Springfield, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Travis Arnold of Johnson, Andy Arnold and wife Heidi of Clearwater; Tess Arnold of Johnson; Caleb Rosario, Nathan Rosario, Matthew Rosario, Hannah Rosario, and Jessica Rosario all of Manhattan; and one great-grandson expected any day.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 56 years, Judy; infant twin sons; and grandchildren, Tony and Tracy Arnold.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at the First United Methodist Church in Johnson, Kansas, with Pastor Jim Ross officiating.
