Paul Schneider, 73, died Monday, March 5, 2018 at his home in Garden City. He was born June 14, 1944 in Garden City the son of David & Frances (Meekma) Schneider.
Paul has been a lifetime resident of Garden City. He attended Garden City schools, graduated from Garden City High School, and attended a year at Garden City Community College. Paul was the owner and operator of Schneider Lawn Service in Garden City. He was a member of the American Legion of Garden City and was involved in Toys For Tots. He enjoyed crossword puzzles and collecting movies.
On September 9, 1970, he married Loretta McFarland in Garden City. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters Marsha Schneider and Kathleen Schneider both of Garden City; a Step-Son Norman McFarland of Guthrie, Oklahoma; two brothers Larry Schneider of Yuma, Colorado and Rick Schneider of Stillwater, Oklahoma; two sisters Linda Reed of Shell Knob, Missouri and Connie Hale of Tyler, Texas; two Grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Paul is preceded in death by his parents; a son Jerome Schneider; and a daughter Julie Schneider.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City with Pastor Steve Ensz officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City with military graveside rites conducted by the United States Navy Honor Guard and the American Legion District #8 Honor Guard. There will be no calling hours. The family suggests memorials given to ResCare or to Karis both in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City.
