Dighton- Edna M. McDaniel, 89, died on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Lane County Hospital in Dighton. She was born on April 10, 1928 at Utica the daughter of Silas Wayne & Helen G. (Hanks) Davis, Sr. She married Warren A. “Bud” McDaniel on December 2, 1945 at Dighton. He died on November 4, 1998.

Edna graduated from Utica High School in 1946. She and her husband lived in Dighton till 1960 and then moved to Utica where they owned the E&B Sundries. In 1967 they returned to Dighton where she worked at several different places including Grumbein Motors and Farmers Oil. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dighton. Edna was an avid reader, especially Amish books, and enjoyed the daily newspaper crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband & Son- Gary Nelson McDaniel.

She is survived by her Daughters- Gayle L. & Cecil Paterson of Kansas City, Kansas and Teresa “Terri” & Roger Yost of Dighton, 5 Grandchildren- Jamie & Eric Hays, Jerald “Jerry” & Deanna Spooner, Stephanie Oden, Vicki Yost & Michael & Shelly Yost, 11 Great-Grandchildren- Nicholas Hays, Nathan Hays, Tristan Spooner, Tanner Spooner, Isabella Spooner, Christopher Oden, Kaycee Oden, Cade Yost, Rogen Yost, Brett Daywalt & Coralin Daywalt.

Memorial Service will be at 10:30 AM Thursday, March 22, 2018 at United Methodist Church in Dighton with Rev Berniece Ludlum officiating. Burial will be in Dighton Memorial Cemetery.
