Fun times

We had such a good visit recently. We talked about everything from asparagus to Bruce catching in baseball. She always wondered how he never got hit with the bat. Lord knows he probably should of a few times. She thought he was very good. She talked about delivering the mail with "Dorothy Greeson" and someone in the country had fresh asparagus, so during the growing season they would receive some everyday. She talked about how during racing season one time. Uncle Lyle was shoved into the stadium coming out of turn 4 and she climbed the fence and was on the track, then thought to her self (did I just do that). That memory makes me laugh. i went to my very first bowling tourney with Harriet, Delores Heronemus and Wanda Pinkston. It still stands out in my mind. I have many great memories with this lady. But, I have this picture in my mind, that coffee is flowing, Mom, Harriet, Esther and Edna are all gabbing and catching up on lost time. This makes me smile. She had a great laugh, and she is laughing right now.

Another memory when mom and dad had card parties.  We played "liverpool rummy?"  But Bruce always wanted to sit beside Aunt Harriet.  He loved to reserve the direction of play and she would giggle, give him heck and play would continue.
