Lakin- David Sotelo, 16, died on Saturday August 25, 2018. He was born on September 3, 2001 at Lakin the son of Ervell Horacio & Maria Cristina (Almuina) Sotelo.

David was a Junior at Lakin High School where he was involved in Cross Country, Wrestling & Basketball. He also was part of HALO and Little Britches Rodeo. He enjoyed listening to music, playing street basketball and was known as a prankster. He was a member of St Anthony Catholic Church of Lakin.

He is survived by his Parents- Ervell & Maria Sotelo, Brother- Daniel Sotelo & Sister- Brisa Sotelo all of the Home, Sister- Rosa Maria Sotelo of Mexico, Grandparents- Rosa Fernandez, Ramon Almuina, Micaela Sotelo & Horacio Nustas all of Chihuahua, Mexico.

Vigil Service will be at 7:00 PM Monday and Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM Tuesday both at St Anthony Catholic Church in Lakin with Father Peter Tran as Celebrant. Burial will be in Lakin Cemetery, Friends may call from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday at Garnand Funeral Home in Lakin.
