Obituary for LaWana Rothers

Dighton- LaWana Rothers, 74, died on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City. She was born on December 4, 1943 in Topeka the daughter of Alvis Bernard & Juanita Berline (Bailey) Rothers.

LaWana graduated from Mulvane High School in 1962 and lived in Wichita until moving to Dighton in 1976. She was a baby sitter for several years and was active in volunteer work at the Lane County Long Term Care. She was a regular at the JOY Center for lunch for many years. She enjoyed bowling and was on a league team each fall. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dighton and TOPS Club. She was preceded in death by her Parents.

She is survived by her Aunt- Von Dyne & Gene Williamson of Dighton, Aunt- Melva & Freeman Knight of Scott City, Cousins- Steve & Sue Shull of Ogallala, Nebraska, Gary & Sherlyn Bailey & Jerry & Cindy Bailey of Scott City both of Scott City, Uncle Cecil Rothers of Topeka, Cousin Diane Rothers of Denver, Colorado.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM Friday at the United Methodist Church in Dighton with Rev Berniece Ludlum officiating. Burial will precede the service in Dighton Memorial Cemetery.
