Obituary for Jack C. Linenberger

Jack C. Linenberger, 92, died Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at his home in Pueblo, Colorado. He was born March 21, 1926 in Sterling, Colorado the son of Joseph & Sussanna (Quint) Linenberger.
Jack moved with his family to Garden City when he was four years old. He attended Garden City schools and graduated from Garden City High School. He then served in the United States Army Air Corp from August 1944 to October 1946. Jack worked for Ideal Stores during his high school years and also for a short time after returning from the service. He then worked as a cabinetmaker for seven years. He then moved to Houston, Texas where he worked for Shell Oil for five years. He returned to Garden City and worked for Mel Krebs for 2 ½ years. In 1965, Jack started Linenberger Construction which he owned and operated until 1991. He then worked for CBarH for twenty three years, retiring in 2014. Shortly after his retirement, he moved to Pueblo, Colorado where he has lived since. Jack was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church of Garden City and the VFW.
Survivors include four children Dr. Kim Garner & husband Kenneth Cunningham of Millington, Tennessee, Kelly & wife Tracee Linenberger of Pueblo, Colorado, Kyla & husband Neil Schibbelhut of Pamona, Kansas, and Karen & husband Bob Deeds of Ft. Worth, Texas; seven Grandchildren; and two Great-Grandchildren. Jack is preceded in death by his parents; five brothers Joe, Ben, Bill, Bert, & Don; and six Sisters, Sister Carmela, Sister Celeste, Stella Schmale, Helen Weldon, Isabel Frick, & Alice Linenberger.
Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 21, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Garden City with Fr. Charles Seiwert as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City. There will be no calling hours. The family suggests memorials given to St. Mary Catholic Church in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City.
