Obituary for William L. "Bill" Creeden

Garden City- William L. “Bill” Creeden, 56, died on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at his home in Garden City. He was born on January 25, 1962 at Garden City the son of Ben R. & Mary L. (Whitehurst) Creeden. He married Shirley M. Simon on July 26, 1986 at Garden City.

Bill graduated from Garden City High School in 1980. He entered the United States Army and was stationed in Germany as a Diesel Mechanic. After his discharge he served in the Army Reserves. He moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming and was a Certified A/P Mechanic for Cheyenne Aero Tec. In 1992 he moved back to Garden City and was the Owner-Operator of Five Points 66 until 2002. Since then he has done Paintless Dent Repair and operated Southwest Fire Extinguisher. Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting, NASCAR especially Dale Earnhardt, Dale Earnhardt, Jr & Dale Jarrett.

He is survived by his Wife- Shirley Creeden of the Home, 5 Children- Danielle Creeden of Fairview, Missouri, Bridgette Creeden of Stigler, Oklahoma, Joshua Creeden of Fort Drum, New York, Erik Creeden of Holcomb & Katherine Watie of Garden City, Brother- Benny Creeden of Garden City, 2 Sisters- Tammy Oliver of Amarillo, Texas & Beth McDonald of Garden City, 5 Grandchildren- Baron Yeadon & Samuel Yeadon of Garden City, Anthony Cowan of Fairview, Missouri and Maddux Watie & Amillia Watie of Garden City.

Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM Thursday at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City with A.J. Jones officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery in Garden City with military rites by Kansas Army National Guard Honor Guard and American Legion District 8 Honor Guard.
