Garden City- Rodolfo “Rudy” Servantez, 73, died on Friday, October 26, 2018 at his home in Wichita. He was born on October 3, 1945 at Garden City the son of Leo G. & Remedios (Mora) Servantez. He married Mary Lou Hernandez in 1964 at Lakin.

Rudy graduated from Garden City High School and attended Garden City Community College. He worked for Schreiber Motors and Farmland Beef Packing in Garden City before becoming a contract painter at several different places. For the past 20 years he has lived in Wichita and was a bus driver and maintenance person for the Wichita school district. He was a member of St Mary Catholic Church of Garden City. In his younger years he enjoyed playing baseball. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially grandkids and traveling to their sporting events, and cheering on the Raiders, Lakers and Yankees.

He is survived by his daughter- Stacy Gilbert (Jim) of Holcomb, 2 Grandsons- Clay Gilbert and Trey Gilbert, 4 Brothers- Leo R. Servantez of Garden City, Raphael Servantez of Wichita, Ramon (Felicita) Servantez of Garden City & Everett Servantez of Wichita and 3 Sisters- Loretta (Richard) DeLaRosa of Garden City, Linda M Servantez of Tucson, Arizona and Isabel (Louis) Elchuck of Garden City, 11 Nieces & Nephews & 15 Great Nieces & Nephews.

Vigil Service will be at 7:30 PM Wednesday and Funeral Mass at 1:00 PM Thursday both at St Mary Catholic Church with Father Charles Seiwert as celebrant. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery in Garden City. Memorials are suggested to Rudy Servantez Memorial Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home.
