Obituary for David Paul Selfridge

Dighton- David Paul Selfridge, 64, died on Friday October 26, 2018 at Sunnyside Hospital in Sunnyside, Washington. He was born on February 21, 1954 at Garden City the oldest son of Gilbert Lee & Lila Ann (Dyer) Selfridge.

Paul graduated from Dighton High School in 1972. He farmed for awhile before moving to Denver and worked in a mine and sold satellite dishes for Prutch Brothers while also trying to make a career out of being a magician. He moved back to Dighton in 1986 and worked as a bartender at Dicky Lee’s, Derrick Inn & the American Legion. He worked at Turner Sheet Metal in Scott City before becoming a feed truck driver for Ranger Feeders. In 2000 he moved to Washington and then to Ohio for five years while he worked for CAPT. He then moved back to Washington and worked at Smuckers Jelly. He was a member of United Methodist Church in Dighton and was a past Mason. He enjoyed doing magic tricks, playing the trumpet, computers, electronics and telling bad jokes. He was preceded in death by his Parents and twin brother- Gilbert Kent Selfridge.

He is survived by his wife- Janet (Baker) Selfridge of Cookeville, Tennessee, Son- Alan (Mistie) Selfridge of Scott City, 4 Grandchildren- Cora, Kristina, Sebastian & Betty, 3 Step-children- Dustin (Heather) Smith of Chelan, Washington, Travis Smith of Germany, Sherry (Chris) Smith of Cookeville, Tennessee, 2 Step-grandchildren- Maddie Smith & CJ Schiefer, Brother- Brian Selfridge of Dighton & 3 Sisters- Susan Daniels of Leavenworth, Shelley Selfridge of Dighton & Jill Obrock of Kingman.

Memorial service will be at 2:00 PM Monday at United Methodist Church in Dighton with Rev. Berniece Ludlum officiating. Burial will be in Dighton Memorial Cemetery.
