Richard Lee Addington, age 89, died Monday, October 19, 2009 at Liberal Springs in Liberal, Kansas. He was born April 13, 1920 in Elkhart, Kansas the son of Emery and Lucy (Lathom) Addington.

Richard a farmer/ rancher, was a lifetime resident of Morton County graduating from Elkhart High School. He was a member of the Hugoton Masonic Lodge #406 for over 50 years, and a member of the Morton County Grazing Association. Richard enjoyed working with cattle, collecting old coins, playing cards and dominos.
Richard married Loreine Toadvine on August 13, 1947 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She survives.

Other survivors include one daughter, Cammy Harrold and husband Dale of Liberal, Kansas; grandchildren, Pamela Lewis and husband Matt of Wichita, Kansas, Michael Addington and wife Deresa of Elkhart, Kansas, Mica Nave and husband Brad of Elkhart, Kansas; great grandchildren, Haley and Dylan Lewis, Shaylee and Lance Addington, Bradon, Tana, Easton, Clayson, and Regan Nave.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, son Victor Lee Addington; and two brothers, Alden Addington and William Addington.
