Benjamin T. Ojeda of Garden City, Kansas died Monday, October 19, 2009 at his home in Garden City, Kansas. He was born on March 31, 1957 in Durango, Mexico.

He attended school in Mexico until the early 1960’s when he moved to Greeley, Colorado. In 1980 Benjamin moved to Deerfield, Kansas and in 1984 Benjamin married Bertha Lopez in Garden City, Kansas. They lived in Deerfield until 1997 when they moved to Garden City, Kansas where they would remain. While in the Finney County area Benjamin worked at Monfort and IBP Beef Packing Company. He enjoyed collecting coins and stamps, liked to spend time outdoors especially fishing and he loved spending time with his family. Benjamin was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife Bertha Ojeda of the home; two sons, Benjamin Ojeda. Jr. of Garden City, Kansas and Gregory Ojeda of the home; two daughters, Libet and Leandra Ojeda both of the home; a brother Zenaido Ojeda of Garden City, Kansas; six sisters, Juana Ojeda of Durango, Mexico, Elena Ojeda of Monterrey, Mexico, Sabina Ojeda of Phoenix, Arizona, Andrea Ojeda of Juarez, Mexico, Maria de Jesus Ojeda of Monterrey, Mexico and Maria Guerrero Ojeda of Monterrey, Mexico; and a grandson.

He was preceded in death by his mother Maximina Terrazas and a brother Jesus Ojeda.
