Alfredo Lopez Garza, age 82, died Sunday, October 25, 2009 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita, Kansas. He was born November 25, 1926 at Orange Grove, Texas, the son of Eliseo and Paula (Lopez) Garza.

Alfredo has lived in Ulysses since the early 1960’s. For many years he was a crew leader for a farming and harvesting operation and operated his own truck. Alfredo attended the Mercy Grace and Truth Ministries. He liked to dance and spend time with his friends and family.

Survivors include two sons, Alfredo Jr. of Ulysses, Kansas, Ramiro of Garden City, Kansas; four daughters, Noelia Carabajal, Marta Flores and Amalia Banuelos all of Ulysses, Kansas and Lucia Gutierrez of Garden City, Kansas; two brothers, Rodolfo of Rotan, Texas, Samuel of Plains, Kansas; four sisters, Amelia Trevino, Senayda Garza, Antonia Carabajal and Ofela Garza all of Ulysses, Kansas; 23 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and one great-great-great-grandchild.

Alfredo is preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Juan, Jose, Carlos, Louis, and David; sister, Ermina Gonzales; and grandson Adam Carabajal.
