Loren D. Miller, 75, of Garden City, Kansas died on Monday, October 26, 2009 at his home in Garden City. He was born on April 6, 1934 in Great Bend, Kansas the son of John F. and Gertrude (Markel) Miller. |
Loren was raised in Gray County on the family farm. He attended school in Ingalls and graduated from Ingalls High School in 1953. He continued his studies at Garden City Community College and graduated in 1955. Loren continued to work on the family farm with his father after college, and sustained working on the farm until retiring in 2007. Loren loved the farm and lived there until 1991 when he and Georgia moved to Garden City. Loren enjoyed restoring classic automobiles, traveling, designing and building many things, riding his Harley Davidson, liked fixing cars, as he was mechanically gifted, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. |
On July 19, 1959 Loren married Georgia Dillon at the First Christian Church in Garden City, Kansas she survives. Other survivors include a son Tom Miller of Ingalls, Kansas; a daughter Pamela Miller-Jenkins of Omaha, Nebraska; and five grandchildren. |
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Gertrude Miller and sister Leola Wendel. |
