| Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 19, 2009 at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Ulysses with Reverend Wayne Flanders officiating. |
Interment: Ulysses Cemetery in Ulysses, Kansas with burial rites conducted by Dexter D. Harbour American Legion Post #79. |
Nap Thomas (William Napoleon Thomas), age 84, died Friday, November 13, 2009 at The Legacy at Park View in Ulysses, Kansas. He was born December 28, 1924 at Grove, Oklahoma, the son of William Henry and Faye V. (Nichols) Thomas. |
Nap served in the National Guard during the Korean Conflict. Nap moved to Ulysses in the 1940’s. He married Charlene Howerton. Nap was a foreman for Columbian Chemical for forty years, retiring in 1987. In his retirement he spent time traveling to car auctions. |
Survivors include son Steven Thomas of Santa Fe, New Mexico; brother Neol Thomas of Joplin, Missouri; and sister Betty Jean Hiser of Grandview, Missouri. |
Nap is preceded in death by his parents, and sister Dortha Beeman. |
