Maria Eidy Martinez, 30 of Garden City, Kansas died Monday, November 30, 2009 in Lakin, Kansas. She was born on November 7, 1979 in Zacatecas, Mexico the daughter of Jose Trinidad and Maria Tomasa (Martinez) Martinez.
Maria was born in Zacatecas, Mexico. At the age of 12 her family relocated to Garden City, Kansas. She attended schools in Garden City and in 1998 she graduated from Garden City High school. After high school Maria continued working at Golden Corral Restaurant where she worked for 13 years, Maria was the Front House Manager. On October 21, 2006 Maria married Jose Mier in Garden City, Kansas. Maria enjoyed her work and loved spending time with her children.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Jose, Jesus and Jordan Mier all of the home; her mother, Maria Tomasa Martinez of Garden City, Kansas; four brothers and five sisters.

She was preceded in death by her father.
|
The family request memorials be given to Maria Martinez memorial fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 412 N. 7th St., Garden City, KS 67846.
